Sasha Bakhru's Research

My research interests include polymeric hydrogel-based scaffolds for stem cell culture, bio-microelectromechanical systems (bioMEMS) for controlling stem cell microenvironments, and polymeric microstructures for controlled delivery of therapeutic macromolecules. However, my previous research experience has spanned optical MEMS, ion-beam analysis of polymeric materials, as well as bioreactor design and fabrication as an undergraduate student.

Below are a few examples of research projects I had previously undertaken, involving materials characterization by electron microscopy and cellular microencapsulation.
